At 8 years old, Marc decided to become a pediatrician and someday run Treasure Coast Pediatrics, a dream that was fulfilled twenty years later. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, where he was voted "Mr. VBHS"- an honor he boasted about both sincerely and in jest. He attended the University of Florida ('96) and the University of South Florida Medical School ('00), and he completed a pediatric residency at the University of South Florida ('03).
Marc is predeceased by his mother Sharon and stepmother Gerri. He leaves behind his father Doug, wife Jeanette, daughters Emily, Madelene, and Mollie, and brothers Matthew and Michael.
Marc met his wife Jeanette when they were in the fifth grade together at Rosewood Elementary School. At age 15, they started playing tennis together, and they fell in love. They married on December 30, 1994. Their love and friendship never wavered for 33 years.
Marc and Jeanette have three daughters: Emily, Madelene, and Mollie. Marc took pride most of all in his children, and despite being outnumbered, he loved being a "girl dad."
Marc will be remembered in a private service.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

Marc made a huge difference in our community and for my family personally!

One of the best doctors I´ve ever met. My children husband and I were always excited to come to the office even exhausted and scared you always put our tire parent brains at ease and I could never truly thank you enough. you are so miss by the easlick family.

Dr. McCain always made my daughter Olivia and I laugh even when we were going in for a "sick" visit. No matter how yucky my little one felt, he somehow could still make her smile and laugh out loud. He was a gifted person in every way. We will miss you dearly and your legacy will live on. You´ll forever be in our hearts!

I knew Marc during his early years as he lived across the street from my family. I remember him always being happy and he spent about as much time at our house as he did his own. He was a joy to be around and I was proud when he was the ring bearer in my wedding. Doug, Matt and Mike, my heart hurts for you. I hope you can smile when you read these condolences as they show how much Marc was loved.

We were so sad to hear the news of Dr. Marc's passing. He was our son's pediatrician since he was a baby until he aged out. He was a fantastic doctor and we loved the fact that he was so personable and LOVED to call our son "Jake from State Farm" and acknowledged you out and about in town. Our deepest condolences go out to his family. He will be missed.

Dr Marc was my daughter´s pediatrician. He helped out our family and took care of my sick daughter on multiple occasions. Me and my family are going to miss him a lot. He was a good man and a great doctor.

I remember Marc from my childhood in Vero. He was older than me and from the same neighborhood where he blazed the trail in fighting against the No Ball Playing rules in "The Circle" park on 29th Avenue. Scott's Sporting Goods was a favorite hangout, and Marc was always kind to me, talking sports (and how we could work around those No Ball Playing rules) and showing me the latest in equipment and shoes.
I haven't seen Marc in 30+ years, but he crossed my mind from time to time and I enjoyed seeing his "public" life from afar. My thoughts and condolences are with his family as they grieve.
