Marc Allen Schimsky was born 75 years ago in Brooklyn, NY. Art was a compelling and constant force in his life from an early age that propelled him into an incredible career as a passionate art educator and lifelong working artist. He met his wife Janis at Buffalo State, the day he returned from studying abroad at the University of Siena. Marc taught and inspired several generations of artists in his 35-year career as a teacher at Smithtown High School. He also founded and ran one of the first social videography businesses on Long Island, where he loved capturing memories for countless families. Marc is survived by his wife Janis, sons Joshua and Matt, daughters-in-law Ashley and Lauren, and his beloved grandchildren Lucas, Owen, Mason, Leon, and Ella. He is also survived by his sister Ellen who always held a special place in his heart. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Sunday May 25, 2025, at 11 AM at Congregation Kol Emet, 1360 Oxford Valley Rd, Yardley, PA 19067. Interment at Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, PA. Shiva will be observed at his late residence on Sunday from 6 PM to 9 PM and on Monday and Tuesday from 2 PM to 9 PM.
