Marcell was born on February 25, 1981, to parents Gloria Love and LeRoy Nelson II. As a child, MarCell was given the nickname Boogie because he loved to dance and sing. He had the talent to make people laugh with his huge personality. In his teens, he loved sports, participating in football and was a Golden Globe fighter.
When he reached his teen years, his nickname changed from Boogie to Boogz which was his name till he passed. His love for music became more important as he wrote and performed some of his own music. Boogz loved his family, and his laughter will always be remembered.
