Marcella Helen Miller, 96, of Rensselaer, IN passed away on Saturday November 1, 2025.
She was born in Martinton, IL on October 30, 1929, to David and Vena Smith. Marcella was a graduate of Rensselaer High School, class of 1949.
On October 3,1949 she married Marvin G. Miller in, and he preceded her in death in 2006.
A dedicated homemaker and farmer's partner, Marcella embraced her roles with grace and devotion. She was an active member of her community, finding joy in the camaraderie of the Barkley Bunco Club and the South Newton Home Economics Club. A woman of strong faith, she was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. Marcella's life was centered around her family, and she leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories of cooking meals, tending to her yard and flowers.
She is survived by her loving children: Dianna (Jeff) Wood of Rensselaer, IN, Barbara Miller of Avon, IN, Glenn Miller of Rensselaer, IN,Pamela (Scot) Hunt of Shelbyville, IN.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Thaddeus, Christie, Anna, Jessica, Leanne, Hunter, Tanner and eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, five brothers, six sisters, Including twin sister, Luella Kelley and one cherished grandchild, Breanna Hunt.
Friends and family are invited to visit, Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CDT at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM CDT. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Rensselaer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation, American Cancer Society, Dunes Hospice or Trinity United Methodist Church.
