Marcella Gregory Sturtz

Katherine Marcella "Marcie" Gregory Sturtz, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Heathsville and West Point, passed peacefully December 9th, 2025. Marcie was preceded in death by her children, Katherine Leigh Sturtz and Richard "Ricky" Sturtz, III, and parents Mr. and Mrs. M. Meade Gregory, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Richard Sturtz, Jr., daughter Julia Meade Tulli (Jacob) and grandchildren, Gregory and Meade Tulli and Renn Sturtz. Marcie also leaves behind her siblings Joe Gregory (Mary), Bobby Gregory (Beverly), Leigh Anne Holmes, Alison Wayland (Charles), and Christie Ward (Lee), and a sister in law Georgette Perry (Bert) in addition to a load of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 13th at Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, VA 23069, with a memorial service beginning at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to benefit the Richard "Ricky" Sturtz Christmas Children's Fund, sponsored by the West Point Ruritans Club; checks may be made payable to the West Point Ruritans Club, P.O.
