Marcello Allegra Obituary

He was a restauranteur working in the family business, Arturo's in Midland Park established in 1982.
He is survived by his mother, Nicolina and his brother Mariano and his wife Deborah and nephews, Mariano and Stefano. He is also survived by his Aunts Antonietta, Maria and her husband Nino, his cousins Nino, Jeffrey, Danielle, Anthony, Frank, and Silvana. In Sicily he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Marcello was predeceased by his father Arturo in 2018.
The Allegra family will receive friends on Monday, 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.
Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff.
Entombment will be in the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marcello's name may be made to the charity of your choice.

I love you my cool rocker guy...miss your love and your incredible heart every single day ...your smile, a joke, a night singing rock songs, playing games with my son, a late night swim, a meaningful chat, a midnight stroll, your gatherings, your open mind, a night of watching you cook, you always waited till I filled my plate and my sons until you served yourself, your artist hands, always an invite reached out to join you, you were a man who touched many, but always made a person feel special, and the only one in the room.
I wish his time here was longer to enjoy just one more day with the most wonderful man I have ever known. All my love to a beautiful man who loved his family everyday, his career, adored his friends with a full heart. He had great life and loved the ride as he would he want me to convey...
With All Heart...you truly were my angel and that goes on....

Marcello was the nicest guy EVER. My daughter Samantha who is now in her 30´s at 6 she had such a crush on him whenever we frequented Arturos´ . He was kind, funny and simply awesome. My prayers are coming your way .... Once again I´m so very sorry.
