Marcia J. Copenhaver, 87, of Lock Haven, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at her home.
Born October 4, 1937 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Goldie Phillips Bilbay.
Marcia was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On November 3, 1955, she married Allan E. Copenhaver, who preceded her in death October 1, 2019.
Marcia retired from Jersey Shore Hospital after many years of service.
She was a member of Dunnstown United Methodist Church and attended God's Eternal Life Church of Dunnstown.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nobody was a match for her quick wit and keen sense of humor. Life gave her many trials, but through it all, she remained strong, resilient and continued to live in the faith of our Lord, Jesus Christ. She dedicated her life to others, whether it was caring for her family or through great faith and courage, adopting and raising her disabled grandson for the last 14 years.
Marcia is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Harry) Blesh of Farrandsville and Sonya (Joe) Rossman of North Carolina; a son, Tim Copenhaver of York; her adopted son/grandson, Joseph Copenhaver; her sister, who resided with her and helped care for Joseph, Kathryn Shipley; two brothers, Phillip and Terry Bilbay; three grandchildren: Kristy (Kevin) Eichenlaub, Jessica (Duste) Walizer and Joel (Ashley) Blesh; and eight great grandchildren: Kendall, Kash, Koen, Klaire, Zobie, Taylor, Teagan and Elizabeth.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kitty June; and four brothers: Bill Phillips and Mahlon, Larry and Bobby Bilbay.
Services for Marcia will be held at the convenience of her family.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Dunnstown United Methodist Church or God's Eternal Life Church of Dunnstown, c/o Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
