Marcia Lee Ludlow (Adams) came into the world on January 14, 1951 and left to be with her Father in Heaven at the age of 74 on July 28, 2025. Marcia resided in Louisville, Kentucky close to her family, all of her life. Marcia grew up as the middle child in a large family with her parents, four sisters and two brothers. For over 30 years Marcia thrived in her career in the operating room. She started at the Old General Hospital in Louisville and retired from the University of Louisville Hospital. There, she worked and trained residents and coworkers in the profession of trauma surgery as a surgical technologist. Marcia‘s kind and generous heart also gave her the opportunity to assist and care for seniors in their homes.

Marcia was an amazing, fun and spirited woman. She never met a stranger. She made her mark into the hearts of others with everything she said and did. Marcia loved with an “others first” mentality. Her smile, positive and funny attitude, were truly infectious. She radiated warmth and joy, making everyone around her feel uplifted. Marcia was optimistic, cheerful, hopeful, bright, and lively. Marcia was a “foodie”, and often showed love through her passion for good food. Her culinary skills were expressions of her affection, always making family gatherings a delicious celebration of love and laughter.

All of Marcia’s heart and soul were rooted in her firm and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She lavished God’s love and the truth of His Word on her family and friends daily. Jesus was her talk and her walk.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest B. Adams Sr. and Agnes Adams, her siblings, Ernest B. Adams Jr, Detra Crossen, Allicia Johnson, and her beloved daughter, Asia Ludlow.

Our beloved Marcia leaves behind so much love from her two daughters, Denita Arnold (Mike) and Venus Ludlow (Safiyyah). She was a proud, devoted and dearly loved Nana to her grandchildren: Italia, Rebecca, China, Zion, Michelle, Patrick, Michael, Kaelyn, Matthew, Michaela, Mia, Ciara and Stephanie. Her great-grandchildren were blessed to have a glimpse of her unconditional love as well: London, Lincoln, Zaydn, Cash, Vaida, Emery, Sloane, Jace, Vera, Josh and Josiah. Marcia also leaves behind two sisters, Patricia Booth (Charles), Anita Walker and one brother, Ronnie Adams, along with the love and admiration of a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of love and life will be held Saturday, August 16th at Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Rd, Louisville, Ky. 40299. Visitation will be from 1pm - 3pm with the service beginning at 3pm.

The family would be honored to accept donations in honor of Marcia to their 501(c)3 ministry - www.awomanlikeyou.org, helping to support single women battling cancer.
