Marclyn Debora Anderson, age 95, born July 30,1930 in Holmes County, Florida to the late James "Jim" and Allie Weeks Anderson passed away peacefully September 23, 2025, at her home in St. Augustine, Florida. She was known for her pleasant smile and the ability to find humor in almost any situation. Marclyn's favorite book of the Bible was Ruth and her favorite flower was the yellow rose. Her favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
She is preceded in death by one son, John Sasnett; four brothers, Bruce, Leamon, John, and Paul Anderson; and one sister, Milbra Spears.
Marclyn is survived by three sons, Jimmy Wayne Owen and wife Kerensa, David Jeter, Gary Sasnett and wife Charlotte; one daughter, Brenda and husband Col. Cary Griffith; ten grandchildren, Tracey and husband Mark Carpenter, Jim Owen and wife Kelly, Chastity Van Meter and husband Stan, April Jones and husband Bobby, Derek and Cameron Jeter, Jonathan Sasnett and wife Em, Michelle, Brandon, and Elizabeth Sasnett; seven great-grandchildren, Owen, Collin, and Austin Carpenter, Mahaley Owen, Brooke and Collin Van Meter, Justin Jones, and one great-great granddaughter, Serena-Marie Snow Sasnett; seven nephews, and one niece.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, at Beulah Anna Baptist Church, 1334 Coursey Road, Westville, Florida, beginning at 2:00 with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
