Marcus A. Grady

Marcus Grady was born November 15, 1980, and earned his wings on August 20, 2024. Life didn’t always deal Marcus an easy hand, but he played it with a grin and a punchline. He loved to make others laugh and enjoyed making lite of any situation. He lived his life how he wanted it with intelligence, humor and a bit of stubbornness that was admired by many.

Marcus’s one joy was being a father. He loved his daughter, Makennah, with all his heart. He had wanted to be a father for many years and was thrilled when he his daughter came into his life. He enjoyed reading her stories, playing with her and holding her while she slept.

Marcus may have left this world too soon, but his spirit, his laugh, his sports knowledge, and his love for his family, lives on in all who knew him. In true Marcus fashion, he wouldn’t want us to be sad but to live our lives as he did-laughing, loving, and giving sound advice.

He is survived by his mother; Joyce Bernhardt (Brian), father; Cord Grady Sr., daughter; Makennah Grady, brother; Jeremy Vicario (Jessica),  and a legion of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, who will miss his wise cracks and solid advice. Those that knew him will continue to share his stories-whether they’re true or a little “embellished.”

The family has decided to hold a private service and ask for respect as we grieve our loss. A celebration of life will be held on his birthday, November 15, 2024, Information will follow later.
