Marcus Dean (Mark) Grissom, 48, of Decatur, was born on September 26, 1975 and after a long battle with cancer, went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2024.

Mark was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time outdoors watching sunsets with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Mark was a builder and specialized in home construction.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie C. (JC) Grissom; and brothers, James (Jamie) Ferguson and Dale Grissom all of Decatur.

Survivors include his wife, Angie (Angel) Grissom of Decatur; mother, Kathy Mizer of Ten Mile; children, Cody Bryant (Cassy), Marcus Grissom (Shain), Jacob Grissom, and Amber Flowers; grandchildren, Ronald Grissom, Casslyn Bryant, Delaney Bryant and Kloee Lawson; brothers, Gary Grissom of Georgetown and Jerry Grissom of Decatur; stepchildren, Jacob Shanhan and Aymber Shanhan and her children, Addie and Luna; and one special uncle, Connaway Ferguson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Mark's friends that helped him in his time of need.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday September 25, 2024 from 10am-2pm at The Gathering (29501 State Hwy 58 N, Ten Mile, TN 37880) with the Funeral Service at 2pm. Graveside service will follow the funeral at Bethsadia Baptist Church Cemtery in Decatur, TN.
