Marcus Andreas Hamilton

Marcus Andreas Hamilton was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 3, 1968 to Boston (late) and Willa Hamilton. He was the middle son of the five Hamilton children. Marcus was proceeded in death by his brothers Michael and Kelvin Hamilton.

Marcus received his education at Panorama Elementary, Lipman Intermediate, Riordan High School and University of San Francisco. He later joined the United States Army in 1990 as an Air Traffic Controller. During his time of service, he received an army service ribbon, national defense service medal, army lapel button, Southeast Asia service medal with two bronze service stars, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Expert badge (Rifle) & Sharpshooter Badge (Grenade). After serving in Dessert Storm and a short stay in the military, he was honorably discharged in 1992. He confessed Christ in his young adult years and united with the San Francisco Christian Center.

Throughout his years of schooling he was an avid athlete of basketball, baseball and soccer. He played for PAL, CYO and FLAME. When he was not on the field, he was off the field coaching and/or refereeing. He coached for Lipman, Epiphany and Jefferson High School. He grew to love the game and developed a strong love for his coach, Mr. Roger Bross, who believed in him before he believed in himself. This love for sports went beyond the field. He was always up to date on all major league teams and he could predict who would win before the game started. No matter what the sport. He loved to "hedge his bets".

On October 22nd, 1994, he joined in a union with Patricia Grigsby. From this union they had a son Terrence Christian Hamilton (Brenda Ramirez) and a step-daughter Vanessa Elizabeth Roy. Most recently, he also became a grandfather to Tobias Terrence Hamilton.

Our beloved son, brother, father and grandfather departed this world peacefully at Zuckerberg SF General Hospital and Trauma Center on Sunday August, 16,2020. He leaves to cherish his memories-
