Marcus "Wayne" Irons, age 83, of Mt Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. Born on April 27, 1942, in Pulaski, VA, to Marcus and Leta (Duncan Czar) Irons, he married Sally Ann Polonowski on September 22, 1962, in Royal Oak, MI.

Wayne was a family man who enjoyed a good conversation and a good cup of coffee with those that meant the most to him. He was proud of his work as a tool and die machinist and enjoyed the challenge of finding solutions to problems. Wayne was a strong man of faith, who loved Jesus with all his heart and shared Him with everyone he met. He was a true patriot who loved our nation and always kept up on current events.

Wayne is survived by his children, Robert (Jaynese) Irons of St. Clair Shores, John (Diane) Irons of Sterling Heights, Kellie (Kreg) Woods of Vassar, and Sara (Anthony) Goss of Mt. Pleasant; his siblings, Virginia (John) Tatone, Basil (Linda) Irons, and Leta Brennan; his grandchildren, Benjamin Viers, Alexis (Steve) Hooper, John Irons Jr., Frank Irons, Emily (Jon) Cook, Jacob (Laura) Irons, Sally (Christian) Irons, Andrew (Alexis) Irons, Charles (Jessica) Goss, Ella Irons, Taylor (Jeremy) Bentley, Carter (Corinne) Goss, Caleb (Payton) Goss, and Emma Irons; and his great-grandchildren, Elijah Viers, Lydia Sanders, Kylo Sanders, Abigail Kochan, Arabella Viers, Scarlett Hooper, Everly Cook, Barrett Cook, Ezra Hooper, Sophia Goss, Paisley Goss, Wynonna Irons, Cade Goss, Abel Irons, and Hudson Goss. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Irons; his parents, Marcus Irons and Leta Duncan Czar; his son, Jason Irons; and his brother, Dwight Irons.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Marsh Funeral Chapel, 2675 Main St. Marlette, MI 48453. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Chapel with Pastor James Brandt officiating, and burial will follow in Dayton Center Cemetery.
