Marcy LeeAnn Batterson

Marcy LeeAnn Batterson passed away peacefully in her home in Manteca, CA on Thursday July 10, 2025 surrounded by her devoted family. Marcy was 45 years young.

Marcy was lovingly welcomed into this world on November 14, 1979 to Bill and Rita Batterson in Hayward, CA.

Marcy was a force- as a child and as an adult. Her confidence radiated and influenced all those around her.

In her teen years, she thrived in sports. From basketball on the boy's team to playing catcher in softball- Marcy dominated in all she did.

Marcy attended James Logan High School in Union City, CA and went on to Chabot College in Hayward as well.

She was so proud when she landed her job at Allied Electronic Recovery in Union City as a Settlement Administrator. She enjoyed her job as well as her co-workers.

Family and friends best described her as genuine and loving but she was also stubborn and strong willed. Her smile was infectious and lit up every room she entered. Her family referred to her smile as the "Kool-Aid" smile.

Marcy was a faithful fan of the Oakland Raiders. From painting her face in silver and black, to her Raider's logo tattoo on her right ankle, there was no truer fan.

Marcy will forever be loved and deeply missed.

She leaves behind her loving mother Rita Batterson Dingle, step-father Fred Dingle, brother Bryan Batterson, sister Desiree Dingle, family and friends. Marcy is joined in heaven by her father Bill Batterson, brother Kevin Hurd, grandparents Roscoe & Katherine Dugger, grandmother Mary Batterson and aunts Judith Jackson & Bernadette Batterson.

P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Batterson Family. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 10am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11am at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home (290 N. Union Road, Manteca, CA). She will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery following her Celebration of Life.
