Margaret "Peg" Blank

The funeral service celebrating the life of Margaret "Peg" Blank of Bertha, will be held at 10:00a.m. on Friday, September 5, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertha, with Pastor Blake Rickbeil presiding. Burial will be the following Monday at 1:30p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. With family at her side, Margaret passed away at the age of 85 of natural causes at her home in Bertha, MN, on August 26, 2025. Margaret Josephine Blank, known as "Peg", was born to William and Nessie (Greenaway) Davis on July 18, 1940, in Saugus, MA. She married Howard Philip Blank on August 19, 1961, at Dorchester, MA. Her life was filled with the many tasks of a homemaker and also worked as a waitress. She enjoyed traveling and fulfilling the role of wife, mother and grandmother for her family. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertha. Preceding Peg in death were her parents; infant daughter, Marlene; son, William Blank; and brothers, Richard and Kenneth Davis. Surviving Peg are her husband, Howard of Bertha; children, Howard Blank, Jr of Clayton, NY, Susan Larson of Oakdale and Michael Blank of Oregon; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; along with honorary family member and caretaker, Dawn Taylor of Bertha.
