Margaret Jean Botts, affectionately known as "Radar", passed away on December 26, 2024, at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas. Born on October 1, 1939, in Independence, Kansas, Margaret lived a life filled with love, kindness, and deep family devotion.
Margaret would marry Larry Botts in 1957 and created great memories with their sons as they grew up surrounded by so much love.
Margaret dedicated over 30 years to her career at the City Publishing Company, where she worked tirelessly, ultimately retiring as the supervisor of the collation department. Her skills and tenacity were unmatched.
She earned the nickname "Radar" for her incredible ability to track down friends and family with just a few phone calls. This funny yet remarkable quality was a reflection of how determined she was at making sure she could follow everyone she loved!
Margaret was a compassionate soul whose presence made everyone feel special. Her warmth and love were palpable, and she cherished every moment spent with her family. She took immense pride in bringing her family together, always eager to share laughter and create cherished memories. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her joy, and she devoted herself to their lives, showering them with affection and wisdom.
Margaret's legacy is carried on by her loving sons, Jim Botts (Jamie), Kevin Botts (Gina), and Darrin Botts (Rickenia). She is also survived by her cherished brother, Jack Boyle, and sister, Mary Ann Lewman (Gene). The bonds she formed with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren — Brandon Botts, McKenzie Halvorson, Tanner Botts, Peyton Botts, Parker Botts, Palmer Botts, Bryor Botts, Baylor Botts, Brody Botts, Cooper Halvorson, and Marlie Halvorson — will forever be intertwined with her loving spirit. They will carry forward her legacy of love.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Eugene Botts, whose memory she held dear throughout her life. She also mourned the passing of her parents, Alvis Boyle and Marguerite Emert, as well as her brothers, JD Boyle and Arthur Boyle, and her grandchild, Brooklyn Botts.
In our hearts, Margaret will remain a guiding light, a beacon of love, and a reminder of the importance of family. Her loving spirit and kind nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her, ensuring that her memory will be cherished forever.
