Margaret C. Broccoli, 98, of Coventry, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at the Riverview Healthcare Community. She was the wife of the late Joseph T. Broccoli, Sr. She was married on May 8, 1948 and lived most of her life in Garden City, Cranston. Her professional career included working at Gorham's, Garden City Builders, Cranston School Dept. and State of RI Employee Benefits. She was an active member of Bouffard Council, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and served as President.
Her interests included playing Bingo and cards, cake decorating, reading, puzzle solving, listening and dancing to music, and enjoying her family. Margaret and Joe moved to Wildwood, Fl, for about eighteen years. While there, Margaret led an active life of swimming, hobbies and social activities with her many friends.
After returning to RI, she enjoyed music and the arts, attending numerous plays in the general area. More than anything, she cherished her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves her three children and their spouses, Joseph T. Broccoli, Jr. (Ellyn) of Canyon Lake, TX, Bernadette Saccoccia (Paul) of Coventry, and Maribeth D'Antuono (Steven) of Cranston; five grandchildren, Maile, Nicole, Jody, Courtney and Christopher; and five great-grandchildren, Anais, Gemma, Mason, Roman and Callan.
Her funeral will be held at 8:30am Friday, March 14, from the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Ss. John and Paul Church, 341 S. Main St., Coventry. Burial will follow at the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home.
