Joseph A Broccoli from Hainesport formerly of Mt Ephraim and Camden, passed away on May 1, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. The beloved husband of Karen Broccoli (Tufnell) for 30 years. He was the beloved uncle of Kimberly Acchione ((Joseph), Dino (Grace) Broccoli, Brian (Stephanie) Broccoli and Christopher Broccoli. Beloved brother-in law to Sharon Broccoli. Beloved brother-in-law to Robert Tufnell and John Tufnell.
He is most beloved by his great-nephews Nathan and Nicolas Broccoli who he helped to raise into the young men they are today. As well as great - nieces Allessia, Brianna & Sophia Broccoli. Fallon Stefanski, Regina Tufnell. Shaniece Phillips-Tufnell. Great -nephews Massimo & Anthony Broccoli. And Joe's new great-great nephew Leighton and great-great niece Lea and their mother Lisa Hinnershitz.
Predeceased by his parents Anthony & Catherine Broccoli. Brother Thomas Broccoli. His Italian born grandparents Filomena and Giuseppe Broccoli, Federico Mazzarella. And Irish born grandparents Thomas and Bridget Cole.
Best friend of Joseph Marini. Dear friends Michael & Eileen Galasso, Thomas & Margie Prosinski, Robert & Margie Carbone and Stanley & Theresa Raiczyk.
Beloved friend & Disney travel buddy Donna Garrity.
Joe retired as a Captain from the City of Camden Fire Department after 30 years of service. He worked for security at West Jersey Hospital in Camden. Joe was an avid softball player where he played for Chapmans, Last Chance bars in Camden. As well as during his time in the US Army where he was an MP at Fort Leavenworth Kansas. The Fort Leavenworth Knights won the championship.
He was a lifelong Yankees fan. He loved old movies and music by Frank Sinatra.
Joe loved his family very much. Trips to the shore with his niece & nephews. As well as holiday gatherings, birthday parties and barbecues in the summer.
Memories of his trips to Disney with Nate & Nico will always be cherished.
Joe was a member of Saint John Neumann Parish in Mt Laurel for 24 years. His faith was very important to him. As well as his love and devotion to the Blessed Mother.
Family and Friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday May 4, 2025 from 5-8pm at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 5, 2025 at 10:30am at Saint John Neumann Church 560 Walton Ave. Mount Laurel, NJ 08054 followed by his entombment at New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or have a Mass said in his name at your local church.
