Margaret Elene Graham Clark
Thursday, June 21, 1945 – Thursday, January 30, 2025
Margaret Clark, 79, of Alamo, Georgia, a beacon of warmth to her family, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the home of her son. She was born on June 21, 1945, to the late L.C. Graham and Margaret Leona Coleman Graham.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eschol L. Clark, Jr., brother, Alton "PeeWee" Graham, sister, Kathryn Graham Jackson, niece, Inez Graham and nephew, Eric Gerrish.
Margaret was a former employee of RA Hartley's Egg House and Royden Wear but the role of homemaker was the one that brought her the most joy. She was a member of Alamo First Baptist Church.
Before the passing of her late husband, Margaret enjoyed spending time gardening with him. Margaret also had a penchant for solving crossword puzzles, a hobby that kept her mind sharp and provided countless hours of quiet contentment.
Family was the cornerstone of Margaret's world, and she invested her heart and soul into nurturing those bonds. Her little dog, "Mindy," was a constant companion and source of comfort, often found by her side as she went about her day. Besides her son, Tony, one of her greatest pleasures was helping with her great nieces and nephews, imparting wisdom and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Margaret's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and service, woven with the threads of family, and the simple joys of everyday life.
She is survived by her Son – Tony Lewis Clark (Sharon) of Glenwood; Grandchildren – Bridgette Worth and Jeffery Worth of Glenwood; Sisters – Mildred Purvis (Don) of Alamo and Nina Gerrish of Alamo; Brother – Leon Graham (Jane) of Bloomingdale.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lowes Funeral Home, Georgia Hospice Care of Vidalia, and to her caregivers, Lisa Boone, Montana Anderson, Sharon Spivey Clark, and Bridgette Worth, for their compassionate care and support during Margaret's final days.
Margaret Clark's life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, the strength of family, and the joy of being present in the moment. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 2, at 4:00 PM at Alamo City Cemetery with Rev. BL Horne officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Lowes Funeral Home from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM.
