Margaret A. Davis

FORT WORTH - Margaret Ann VanNoy Davis, 92, passed away peacefully with family and friends in Fort Worth, Texas, October 23, 2024.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite A, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth Texas 76107. Funeral Service 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107, followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Margaret was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 16, 1932, to Elbert VanNoy and Ann Olivia VanNoy. She grew up in Wichita Falls where she married and had her two children. She moved to Fort Worth and became very active in her church serving on Sundays and Wednesdays with the youth, hosting meals, and leading Sunday school. She worked for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department for several years, where she served as the first female Sheriff's deputy. Afterwards, she worked at General Dynamics as an administrative assistant before she retired. Margaret was a sweet, loving, and kind person, who loved to serve the Lord. She enjoyed hosting and bringing the family together.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Davis of Fort Worth Texas; sister, Betty Jeanne Mundorff of San Antonio, Texas; and brother, William VanNoy of Columbus, Georgia.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Drs. Thomas Grahm and Margarita de la Garza-Grahm of Tyler, Texas, and Sondra (Grahm) and Larry Wallace of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren, including spouses; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was a sweet mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be truly missed.
