Marge Dilger, a devoted wife, caring mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 72 in Waterford, Wisconsin. Born on September 8, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Marge led a fulfilling life that was characterized by her deep faith and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Marge had a commendable career as a longtime employee at Information Providers, where she worked diligently as an insurance auditor. Her professional integrity and commitment to excellence were evident to all who worked with her. Outside of her career, she was a proud member of the Wisconsin Business and Professional Women's Group and dedicated her time volunteering for the Sojourner Family Peace Center, reflecting her desire to support others and contribute positively to her community.
In addition to her professional achievements, Marge was an avid book reader, whose passion for literature greatly enriched her life. Although her most treasured role was being a grandmother, creating memorable moments with her grandchildren, Bryce and Colton Dilger.
Marge’s family was her greatest joy and passion. She was a loving wife to Al Dilger for 52 years, sharing a partnership filled with love and mutual respect. She was a beloved mother to Paul (Linda) Dilger, and the bond they shared was a source of strength and happiness for them all. Marge also held a special place in her heart for her sisters: Kathy (Tommy) Sommers-King, Patricia (Patrick) Bergen, Lynda (Rolf) Herzog, Terry (Roy) Spieckerman, and Jan (Scott) Sommers, with whom she shared an enduring sisterly bond. Notably, she was the proud godmother of her niece Erin Swan and nephew Brad Mysliwiec, and enjoyed life surrounded by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Sommers, whom she cherished deeply.
Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance during her Memorial Gathering on March 14, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM, followed by a Mass at 12:30 PM, all taking place at St. Gabriel Catholic Church (1200 St Gabriel Way, Richfield, Wisconsin). Burial to follow at St. Hubert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family.
Marge will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her kind heart, strong spirit, and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.
