Margaret Bert Doll, 90, of Havana, Florida, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
She lived a fulfilled and joyful life, leaving behind a blessed and grateful family. Margaret was born July 16, 1934, to Marvin and Thelma Miller. She was the baby of the family, joining one sister Dot, and three brothers Bill, Bob, and Dan.
She graduated from Havana High School and Florida State University earning a degree in education, leading her to teach at Havana High and Robert F. Munroe Day School. She retired from teaching to be a full-time wife and mother, a job she cherished and held dear. She returned to work, first as an assistant to the Director of Dentistry at Tallahassee Community College and then taking a position with the Florida Board of Dentistry.
Margaret is survived by her children Lennie Butler (Susan), Miller Butler (Nan), Jacqueline Dooner (Michael), Carolyn Summerford (Dale), three step children, Butch Doll (Betsy), John Doll (Toni) and Lynn Dickerson (Jeff), brother Bob Miller (Jan) and sister-in-law Jean Miller. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husbands Jack Bert (1979) and Leslie Doll (2005), parents Marvin and Thelma Miller, sister Dot Gregory, brothers Bill and Dan Miller and daughter in law, Mary Anne Butler.
Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as an avid animal lover, especially adoring her precious dachshunds.
A visitation is scheduled at Faith Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
