With profound love and gratitude, our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Grandma, Margaret Dula, on December 7, 2025, at the age of 89. She left this world surrounded by the people she loved most fiercely throughout life, her family.

Born on December 4, 1936, Margaret devoted her life to faith and family. She was a woman who cherished the Lord with all her heart and loved her family with deep devotion. Her heart was steady and full of grace. She never held onto bitterness and believed wholeheartedly in the power of forgiveness.

She shared more than 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband and closest friend, Terry Dula. Together they built a life rich with love, creating memories from the mountains to the coast. She found happiness in life’s simple treasures: feeding birds from her porch, admiring one of her many pieces of jewelry, spending time fishing at the beach, or most often, enjoying time with loved ones.

Margaret was known for her generous spirit. She sent cards to everyone she knew for birthdays, holidays, get-wells, and moments of thanks. There was rarely an occasion, big or small, that she didn’t acknowledge with a handwritten card.

A gifted pianist since her teenage years, Margaret gave her talent to Central Falls Baptist Church, where she played for over 70 years.

Her hands were always busy, and her heart was always full. Through games, crafts, and puzzles, Margaret connected generations and reminded us all to slow down, sit together, and appreciate the beauty in spending time with those we love.

Most of all, she loved her family. She was present at every milestone, celebration, and hardship. Constantly giving, praying, and showing love. Her family and everyone who knew her will carry her legacy: a heart rooted in faith, and a love that never wavered. She loved and forgave effortlessly, proof of a soul anchored in Christ.

She will forever be remembered, cherished, and loved.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Dula; her daughter, Janice Jennings; and her son, David Dula.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Teresa Dula Hill, who was always by her side; her admired grandson, Michael Dula; and sweet dog, Tiny May. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren: Brandon (Eloisa) Jennings, Emily (Ben) Harless, Tiffany (Ian) Bracy, Jennifer (Josh) Hagan, and Josh (Hannah) Jennings.

Margaret leaves behind seven great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy: Victoria, Henleigh, Amber, Declan, Kayleigh, Skylar, and Camryn.

She is further survived by her sister, Carol (Jimmy) Hall; and her children-in-law, Michael Jennings and Paulette Dula Woody, whom she welcomed with warmth and love.

A service honoring Margaret’s life will be held at Central Falls Baptist Church, where she served faithfully and joyfully.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00AM at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd, Asheboro, with Pastor Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
