Margaret Eanes Obituary

EANES, Margaret G., of Amelia, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, joined the Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. She was born February 16, 1928 in Richmond, Va., the daughter of the late Harry R. Grubb and Annie Rodwell Grubb. She was preceded in death September 24, 2008 by her husband, Harold A. Eanes Sr. She is survived by one son, Daniel R. Webster (wife Katie); three daughters, Cynthia W. Carden (husband Harry), Sharon W. Hancock (husband Deppe), and Sylvia D. Dierson (husband Glenn); nine grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, four stepchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, and one great-stepgrandson. Mom, Moggs, "Suga" designed and remodeled 18 houses to make them homes, farmed her land, was devoted to her church and family and was loved by many friends. She was passionate about her country and was a "diehard" Democrat. She overcame many hurdles in her life. Her determination and strength has been and is an inspiration to all who knew her. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Mattoax Presbyterian Church, 14600 Chula Rd., Amelia, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mattoax Presbyterian Church.

I have just learned of Mrs Eanes passing I will truly miss her fighting spirit and her spunk.Her and I fought to keep the cement company from going in our yards .I truly enjoyed her company
