Margaret Mary Farrell (née Conley) entered eternal life on September 29, 2022 at the age of 88.
Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, William (Bill) Farrell and loving daughters Elizabeth (Stephen) Ramseyer and Mary (Kenneth) Kveton. She is also beloved by her grandchildren: Sarah (Daniel) Jarrett, Jared Kveton, Peter Kveton, Scott (Gina) Ramseyer, Conor Ramseyer and Meghan Ramseyer.
Margaret loved to garden with Bill, planting Irish Bells, Gerbera Daisies, Petunias, Lantana and Alyssum in the myriad of pots and planters in their yard. She would lovingly pick the fruits of their labor in the vegetable garden, counting each bean and cherry tomato, most of which were given as gifts on recycled trays lined with paper towel to keep them fresh. Margaret also made sure her backyard birds and bunnies had fresh seed and water, but drew the line at the squirrels!
Grandma loved her grandchildren, always having a book to read, toys to play with or tent making in the backyard. She was sure to serve up a tasty treat of cinnamon toast when the grandkids came to call. And the grandchildren were lucky to have her! Margaret came to their plays, concerts, birthdays and graduations - always with her camera to take pictures to share with everyone later, Pictures! There are SO many pictures to treasure.
Margaret explored Europe in her younger years and gave us photos of Bermuda, Lourdes, Fatima, Paris and Rome. She traveled with Bill to Italy, Acapulco, Romania and of course, Ireland. Margaret had a unique eye and great timing! She captured Princess Grace Kelly and Liberace at the back doors of the theaters in Chicago, the winding roads, barn windows and doors of Door County, and the seasonal flora and fauna in their own backyard.
When next you think of Margaret, put on your comfy sweater, turn on some new age music and pour yourself a cup of tea.
Services will take place Thursday, October 6th at Hartson funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd, Hales Corners. Visitation from 10 am to 11:30 am. Service at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Racine, W
