Margaret was born on December 10th, 1943 and passed away on
April 10th, 2025 at the age of 81Peggy was born in Memphis, Tennessee and was the second child of three
born to Bayless Edward Kirtley and Emmalyn Rawlings Kirtley.
Peggy was the first Queen of the Girls Auxiliary at Nichols Hills Baptist
Church in the mid 1950's. She was a National Honor Student and a member
of numerous clubs at John Marshall High School where she graduated in
1961. Peggy met her soulmate, Richard (Rick) Fulton and they were married
on March 31, 1962. Rick joined the US Air Force just before they were married and together they moved to Biloxi, Mississippi where their first child Jennifer (Jenny) was born
in July 1963. They were then stationed in Okinawa, Japan and had their
second child Richard (Greg) in August 1964. They settled in Oklahoma City
after Rick's completion of service where their third child Laura was born in
1968. Peggy was a nurturing and compassionate Mother. Peggy entered the workforce at Heritage House Smorgasbord around 1976 as an office Manager but soon moved on to work for Walt Garner Associates. She quickly rose to office manager and retired after 30 years. Peggy was a working mom, but she still took the time to cook meals for the family and help with homework every night. Although she was not formally trained, Peggy was very artistic and taught herself to play the piano and the mandolin. She painted, learned calligraphy, crocheted countless throws, always had a needlepoint item in progress, and
was an avid reader. Peggy was an active member of Putnam City Baptist Church and
Truthseekers Adult Bible Fellowship. She had a servant heart and also
worked with the Whiz Kids program through PCBC. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, stepmother Verlyne (who raised her from the age of 3), and brother, Robert. She is survived by her brother, Bayless Kirtley (Judy); daughter, Jenny Lee (Don); son, Greg Fulton (Chris); daughter, Laura Lunceford (Eric); grandchildren,
Justin Lee (Ashlee); Brandon Sowle (Allyson); Corbin Lee (Victoria) and Asher Fulton; along with six great grandchildren.
