Margaret Hanna Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gramer Funeral Home - Clawson on Aug. 15, 2024.
Margaret Ann Hanna, age 68, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024. A resident of Clinton Township for the last four years and formerly of Troy for over 30 years, Margaret was born on August 22, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to her loving parents, Kenneth and Margaret Ann (nee LaRoque) Saunders.
Margaret spent her early years in Detroit before moving to Madison Heights at the age of 15, where she attended Madison High School. A dedicated and hard-working individual, she worked for Hollywood Markets for over 20 years before retiring five years ago.
Margaret's life was centered around her family. She cherished spending time with her loved ones at the lake, fishing with her husband on their boat, and most importantly, spoiling her beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Nana." Margaret was known for her kindness, always going the extra mile to make her family feel special. Her infectious laugh brought joy to everyone around her, and she was adored as the favorite "Aunt Margie" by her numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret also had a deep love for animals and nature, particularly for butterflies and tending to her garden. Throughout her life, she cared for many pets, including dogs, cats, and birds, and she even took the time to feed outdoor cats and deer.
She is survived by her devoted children, Kirstie Loudermilk, Dodi (Carey) June, and Todd (Holly) Hanna; and her grandchildren, Hannah (fiancé Jeremy Hunacek) Loudermilk, Maxwell Loudermilk, Alexander June, Lucia Lima, Whitney Hanna, and Madeline Hanna. Margaret also leaves behind her siblings, Kenneth (Kathy) Saunders, Patricia Law, Carolyn (Dave) Preslow, and Michael Saunders, along with numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Hanna, whom she married on June 25, 1983, and who passed away on April 15, 2009. Margaret is also reunited with her parents, Kenneth and Margaret Saunders.
Visitation for Margaret will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, Clawson, Michigan, 48017. A funeral service to celebrate her life will begin at 7:00 PM.
Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
