Margaret Ann "Peggy" Haring

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Haring, 73, of Leadwood, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the home of her loving family.
Born in St. Louis on January 27, 1952, to James and Georgia Weise (née Heitz), Peggy devoted her life to service, family, and community. She was the cherished mother of Mark, Michael, and Douglas; beloved sister of Cindy and Dennis; proud grandmother of nine; and great-grandmother who delighted in watching her family grow across generations. She was preceded in death by her brother, James.
Peggy built a long career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico, where she worked with dedication before retiring. In her retirement years, she found a second home at the Bonne Terre Public Library, where she became an instrumental figure in the library's programs and outreach. Her contributions extended far beyond its walls, touching countless lives in Bonne Terre and Leadwood.
A woman of deep faith, Peggy was a devoted member of East Side Church of God in Leadwood. She was also recognized as the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri's Patient of the Year, a testament to her resilience and her commitment to advocacy and awareness.
Peggy's legacy is one of compassion, service, and quiet strength. She will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments and community contributions but also for the kindness, wisdom, and love she gave so freely to all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life for Peggy will be held at Heritage Hall in Bonne Terre, MO at a later date followed by an inurnment ceremony at St. Francois Memorial Park, Bonne Terre. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bonne Terre Memorial Library in Peggy's honor. A special memorial fund is being established to benefit the Bonne Terre Memorial Library, where Peggy dedicated so much of her time and spirit. A Memorial fundraiser for the library will also be held a future date to be announced. All donations received will be presented as a single gift to the library in her name, continuing her legacy of service and love for the community.
