Roger D. Paul, 71, of
Arnold, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.
Roger Dean was born on January 18, 1955, in
Sullivan, Missouri, to the late Calvin and Mable (Bailey) Paul. He grew up in Sullivan, where he attended school and graduated from Sullivan High School.
Following high school, Roger began a long and dedicated career with Chrysler Automotive in Fenton, Missouri, where he devoted 31 years of hard work before retiring. In the late 1990s, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Headrick. During that time, he lovingly welcomed and raised her daughter as his own, a reflection of his generous and caring heart. Though their marriage later ended, the love and commitment he shared with his family remained an important part of his life.
After retirement, Roger found joy in working at The Pageant in Saint Louis, primarily as an usher, while also helping in other roles when needed. A true lover of music, he cherished the opportunity to experience a wide variety of artists and performances. It was also later in life that he reunited with his loving companion, Debbi Sheeley. They enjoyed each other's company, attended many concerts at The Pageant together and spent their days enjoying the simple pleasures of retirement together.
Roger had a passion for gardening and was known for his remarkable green thumb. His flower gardens were immaculate, and he even received recognition in the Arnold newspaper for growing a giant sunflower just last year. He also enjoyed collecting, especially coins and Lego sets, and had a lifelong thirst for knowledge-so much so that as a child, he would read dictionaries and encyclopedias for fun. He held strong political views and was never afraid to share them.
Above all, Roger deeply loved his granddaughters, Zoey and Piper. He took great joy in spending time with them and was known for giving thoughtful and meaningful gifts that reflected his love for them.
Roger is survived by his loving companion, Debbi Sheeley of
Arnold, Missouri; his daughter, Brittany Hensley of Union, Missouri; two granddaughters, Zoey Sky Henderson and Piper Star Hensley; his three siblings: Leon Paul and wife Debbie of Spring Bluff, Missouri, Missouri, Cheryl Conaway of Spring Bluff, Missouri and Trina Bailey and husband Rick of Spring Bluff, Missouri other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Mable Paul.
No services are planned at this time.
