Margaret Bernice Harvey, 94 of Longview, Texas passed away on March 30, 2024, in Denton County Texas. She was born in the Fish Creek community in Cooke County, Texas on March 15, 1930, to Horace Colman Roberts and Annie Belle Mabry. Margaret married Luther Harvey in Sherman, Texas on July 16, and they were married for 66 years before his passing in 2017. She was a member of the Pathway Church in Longview. Margaret loved to attend church, read, make quilts and cook. She was a wonderful mother and wife and loved her husband, Luther. Margaret also loved her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Marla Farnsley and husband, James of Flower Mound, Texas; sister in law, Kay, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Luther Harvey; parents, Horace Colman Roberts and Annie Belle Roberts; siblings, Charlie, Earnestine, Pauline, Marie, J.R., Lily, Ken and Doug.
Thanks to Sheri and John Jarvis for the hours they spent looking after and caring for Mom. We would also like to thank Linda and Kenny Farris for the time they spent with mom in her final days. Finally, we would especially like to thank The VITAS Healthcare Inpatient Hospice Unit staff and doctors for the loving care given to my Mom in her final days.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, 1204 e. California Street, Gainesville, Texas. Service will follow at 2:00 pm also at Meador Chapel officiated by Sheri Jarvis. Interment to be following at Cedarlawn Cemetery, Sherman, Texas.
