Margaret L. Howard, age 87, of Washington, passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 22, 2025.

Born on October 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Cora and Orville Naylor.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late James Howard; cherished mother of Tina (Robert) Dalessandro and the late James Howard, Katherine (Surviving: Richard)Howard Svitek, and Scott Howard; loving grandmother of Michael (Kristen) Stedman, Marc Stedman, Tiffany (James) Goodwin, Nicholas Dalessandro, Kassidy Dalessandro, Rodney Curry, David Howard and the late Cory Dalessandro; great grandmother of many great grandchildren; dear sister of David (the late Jean) Naylor, William Naylor, Kitty Valentin-Cortez, Joy Naylor and the late Lily (the late Smokey) Harter, and Richard Huffine; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Margaret had a strong work ethic and took great pride in every job she held. Over the years, she was employed by the Washington Glass Factory, Bobby Brooks, Skirpan, and Black Box, where she formed lasting friendships and gave her very best each day. She genuinely loved working and found fulfillment in being part of a team, always showing up with a smile and a can-do attitude.

Beyond her professional life, Margaret embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. She was a proud and active member of the Red Hat Society, finding great joy in the camaraderie and spirited outings shared with her fellow members.

Margaret was also a passionate traveler who loved to explore new places, but her favorite moments were those spent surrounded by her family. Whether it was a simple family dinner or a special holiday gathering, she cherished every memory made with her loved ones. A collector of lighthouses, Margaret was drawn to their symbolism of guidance and strength-qualities she herself embodied. Margaret will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of warmth, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 11 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Burial will follow at The Washington Cemetery.
