It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Keys, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world on August 17, 2025, at the age of 80. Margaret was born on October 30, 1944, in Wetumpka, Alabama, to Aaron and Mildred Sweat. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and warmth that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Margaret's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her cherished children, Billy Jo and Marjorie Lynn Keys, as well as two sisters, Eloise Barber and Margie Giger, and her loving husband, Arthur William Keys Jr. Despite the sorrow of these losses, Margaret's legacy lives on through her surviving children: Richard Keys (Elizabeth), Amanda Prado (Raymond), Eddie Keys, and Teresa Brown. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, and her family continues to grow with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry on her spirit. Margaret spent her later years in Winter Haven, Florida, where she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing and swimming, often sharing these moments with her family. Her love for nature was only rivaled by her passion for being a mother and grandmother. She dedicated herself entirely to nurturing her loved ones, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and love. Her generous heart and kind spirit touched the lives of many. Those fortunate enough to know Margaret will remember her vibrant personality and her ability to bring people together. She had an innate gift for making everyone feel special and loved, and her laughter was infectious. Margaret's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have been part of her life. As we remember her, we celebrate the beautiful memories created together, the lessons learned, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. In the spirit of her love for family, a memorial service will be held to honor Margaret Ann Keys, where family and friends can gather to share stories and celebrate the remarkable life she lived. Margaret will remain forever in our hearts, a guiding light in our lives, and a reminder of the importance of family, love, and togetherness. She was truly a blessing to us all, and her legacy will live on through her cherished family.
We will honor her with a viewing on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel from 4-6pm with funeral following at 6pm. She will be laid to rest with a graveside service at Auburndale Memorial Park on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10am.
