Margaret J. Krassin

MARGARET J. KRASSIN, age 81, of Waseca passed away at her home on Saturday, March 18, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born to Roy and Helen (Gibson) Wendland on February 28, 1942 in Waseca, MN. She graduated from Waseca Public Schools. On September 10, 1960, she was joined in marriage to Kenneth Krassin, and together they raised four children. They were married for 47 years until Kenneth's passing in 2008.
Margaret was a farm wife, and stayed at home when her kids were young. As they got older, she worked various jobs. She cleaned for service master, worked at Colony Court, volunteered for hospice, and helped with the ladies' aid at Trinity Lutheran Church - Wilton. She was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church - Wilton and Red Hat Society. In Margaret's spare time, she enjoyed old movies, music, bingo, crocheting, knitting, gambling, playing bridge at the Senior Center, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Margaret is survived by her children, Ron Krassin of Waseca, Dawn (Mark) Zuehlke of Eagle Lake, Diane Tester of Waseca; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and brother, Jon (Janet) Wendland of Texas. She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Krassin; son, Kevin Krassin; parents, Helen and Roy Wendland; brothers, Robert, Donald, Ronald, Kennth and Dick Wendland; sisters, Evelyn Kahnke and Mary Wendland.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Third Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church – Wilton with Rev. Larry Sipe officiating. Interment will be in Woodville Cemetery.
