My grandmother was not only the sweetest, but the most generous and loving person. No matter who you were, my Grandma would always accept you with open arms. It was always known that all were welcome at the table at Grandma's house. Grandma always had a "zest" for life, whether that be traveling the country, bowling with friends, gardening, or sharing childhood stories. Additionally, Grandma was an avid animal lover and considered the zoo as one of her favorite places to visit. A fond memory I have of Grandma is working in the kitchen with her as a little girl, whether that was making cookies or pies for holidays. Grandma truly adored all family and especially loved her grandchildren. Grandma taught me important life lessons, such as empathy and generosity, that I try and practice each day in her honor. She will be deeply missed and loved forever.

For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life, I love you more.
