Ellabell- Margaret Lee Strickland Vincent, age 75, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mrs. Vincent was born in Savannah, GA to the late John Perry “Bo” Strickland and Ruby Mae Varner Strickland. She was a server at both Burger King and Hardee’s in Metter for several years and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was an excellent cook, especially known for her biscuits and always kept a clean house. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vincent was preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Frank Howard Vincent; brothers, Junior Dolphus Strickland and William Henry Strickland and one sister, Margaret Lee Strickland.
Survivors include her sons and a daughter-in-law, Brad and Staci Vincent of Register and Frank Vincent and his companion, Emily Florie of Ellabell and one daughter, Cynthia Vincent and her companion, Tim Johnson of Ellabell; one sister, Minnie Howard of Richmond Hill; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and expecting two more great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Noon - 2 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2024 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2024 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
