Her Legacy Margaret Elizabeth Magaddino, passed away September 18, 2023. She was born on September 7, 1933, in Waterford, Michigan to Roy Hepler and Ruth (Merrill) Hepler. Maggie married the love of her life, Sam Magaddino, in 1953 in Angola, Indiana. Together they owned Brae Burn Golf Club in Plymouth, Michigan. After Sam passed away in 1986, Maggie married Harry Wenner in 1996. Maggie and Harry traveled often and enjoyed going on cruises. Maggie had an amazing sense of style and was never seen without her hair curled and lipstick on. Her grandchildren called her their "fancy grandma" and her home was always beautifully decorated and taken care of. Maggie was a wonderful hostess and always hosted big holiday dinners for her family. She taught all of her grandchildren to bake her delicious peanut butter cookies. Maggie was a wonderful cook and baker and she loved dessert. In her later years she enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Maggie was a joy to know and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her Family Maggie will be missed by her children, Brian Magaddino, Diane (Ron) Harris; step-daughter, Krista (Jeff) Barton; siblings, Tom Hepler; Nona (Hepler) Whitman-Rosenfeild; grandchildren, Maggie (Joe) Cornell, Alyson (Tyler Marshall) Harris, Elizabeth (Devin Swiftney) Barton, Katelyn Barton; great-granddaughter, Ivy Cornell. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Sam Magaddino; 2nd husband, Harry Wenner; parents, Roy and Ruth Hepler; brothers, Bill Hepler, John Hepler, Carl Hepler, Donald Hepler; sister-in-law, Sue Hepler.
Her Farewell Maggie's family and friends will gather Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 10:00AM-1:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Maggie's Farewell will follow at 1:00PM. As a little girl I remember spending time with Grandma in her Farmington Hills house. On a Saturday we might look at the newspaper flyers to look for sales and she was often cooking things like wedding potatoes of desserts. Her living room always had a candy dish with Andies candies. Often, she brought me to her friends house to play in the pool while she had a visit. It was always fun to go to Grandma´s house.
My Grandma always gave good advice, had a caring disposition, and was a beautiful soul. She will be missed as she was loved by so many friends and family. She lived a full and happy life. We were blessed to have so many good years with her.
