Margaret “Peggie” Meyer (nee Pender), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 at the age of 79. Cherished daughter of the late William T. and Margaret Pender; devoted mother of Matt (Gina) Meyer; loving grandmother of Avery Meyer, Samantha Meyer and Cole Meyer; dear sister of Dick Pender and Bill Pender; sister-in-law of Reta Pender; Peggie is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Peggie was a beautiful woman, inside and out, who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She loved bowling, playing bunco, going to the movies, and dining out with friends. A creative spirit, Peggie enjoyed sewing, crafting, and decorating—especially for the holidays, when her front door was always festive. She had an eye for detail, whether it was arranging flowers for the perfect “pop of color” or making her home warm and welcoming.
Above all, Peggie was a proud grandmother who adored her three grandchildren. She showered them with love and affection, often planning special one-on-one “dates” to make each feel cherished. They were truly her pride and joy, always treated as if they were #1 in her heart.
Peggie had a wide circle of friends and exemplified what it meant to be a lifelong friend. Thoughtful and caring, she was known for sending cards and packages to let others know they were loved and remembered. She was also strong in her faith, often participating in adoration at her church. Peggie delighted in cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team and was always up for the next game.
Her kindness, creativity, and devotion to family and friends leave behind a legacy of love and connection that will not be forgotten.
Memorials may be made in Peggie's name to St. Vincent De Paul or American Cancer Society.
