Margaret Fulford Mimbs, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 3, 2025, at her home in Rentz, GA surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 6, 1948, in
Dublin, GA, Margaret's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
Margaret was the cherished wife of Rev. Grady H. Mimbs of Rentz. Together, they shared a life full of love and devotion, not only to each other but also to their community. Margaret's role as a pastor's wife was one she held dear, serving alongside her husband at Rentz Baptist Church, New Bethel Baptist Church, Dexter Baptist Church, and Buckhorn Methodist Church. Her support and guidance were the cornerstones of their shared ministry.
Before her retirement, Margaret was the respected office manager at Everett Brothers Plumbing, where her organizational skills and warm demeanor made her a beloved figure. Her professional life was marked by the same dedication and care she gave to her personal life.
Margaret's parents, Lehman Fulford and Evelyn McCoy Morris, predeceased her, as did her brothers, Lewis Fulford, Tim Fulford, Allen Morris, and Ricky Morris, and her beloved granddaughter, Sydney Knight.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her surviving family, including her husband, her daughters Brina Wells (Miles) of Bogart, GA, Sherri Knight (Steve) of Rentz, and Mary Beth Harkleroad (Thomas) of Rentz. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Ryan Wells (Courtney), Shannon Brantley (Brandon), Lauren Quintero (Jaime), Shae Grimes (Evan), Abi Grace Harkleroad, and Grayson Harkleroad, as well as her five great-grandchildren.
Margaret's brothers, Joe Fulford (Brenda) of Griffin, GA, and Johnny Fulford (Cathy) of Lyons, GA, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive.
A member of Dexter Baptist Church, Margaret's faith was the guiding light of her existence. Her interests were a reflection of her loving and selfless nature; she enjoyed cooking, teaching the Bible, sewing, and tending to her flowers. Above all, Margaret cherished spending time with and taking care of her family, who were the center of her world.
Margaret's life was a living example of the words that best describe her: loving, faith-filled, and selfless. She touched the lives of many, always putting others before herself and spreading kindness wherever she went. Her warm smile and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
