MARGARET A. MIZER (née Stofko), age 89, of Garfield Heights. Former wife of the late Raymond; loving mother of Jerry (Jamie), Tommy (Mary), Marie (Jeff) Preg, Marjorie (Matthew) Esser, Kathy Piggford, the late Raymond (Donna), and the late Richard; dearest grandmother of 16; dear great-grandmother of 15; daughter of the late John and Margaret Stofko; and sister of Frank (Maria), John (Lillian), Bill (Elaine), James, and Bob (Carol).
Marge dedicated 42 years of service to Independence Bank, where she was known for her strong work ethic, warm smile, and genuine kindness. Over the years, she formed many lasting friendships with both colleagues and customers, remaining connected to many of them throughout her life. She also treasured lifelong friendships that began in elementary and high school, and she especially enjoyed gathering monthly with her girlfriends for their beloved “Birthday Club,” celebrating each other’s special days with laughter and lasting memories.
Friends will be received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 Broadway, Bedford (one mile west of the Forbes-Broadway exit off I-271), on Wednesday, February 18, from 3–7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MONICA CHURCH, 13623 Rockside Road, Garfield Heights, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19. Burial at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
