Patricia A Mizer

Patricia A. Mizer, 86, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at The Inn at Northwood in Dover. Born July 8, 1939 in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Robert D. and Esther C. (Emig) Plotner Her husband, Robert A. Mizer, whom she married October 7, 1957, preceded her in death in March 1971. She is survived by 2 daughters Holly R. Matthews and Hope K. Mizer, both of Bolivar; grandchildren Mallory A. Matthews, Crystal L. Page and great grandchildren Izaak Matthews, Zayden Matthews, Trey Parker and Lzzy Sigler. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Cheri. Pat was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar. Both Pat and Bob graduated from Bolivar High School, Tusky Valley class of 1957 and lived and raised their girls on a farm in the Bolivar-Zoar area most of their lives. Pat worked for Sparta Ceramic in Sandyville for many years, as well as the Bolivar L&K, Lu Minkos Restaurant in Navarre, Blue Bird Restaurant in Carrollton, Atwood Lodge in Dellroy and Der Dutchman Restaurant in Bolivar. She was a licensed realtor in the Beaufort, South Carolina area and in her later years also worked as a licensed aid as a caregiver. Pat formerly lived at Franklin Terrace Apartments in Strasburg where she enjoyed the company of many friends. She was an avid gardener and liked putting together puzzles. She also coud be seen walking her little white Terrier mix, Zoomie, around the park track in Strasburg most every day. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar. Pastor Mike Pozzuto will officiate and burial will take place in Ft. Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar. Immediately following services, the family will host a luncheon and time of fellowship at the church. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
