YOUNGSTOWN — Margaret D. “Peg” Kiraly, 83, died Monday, March 25, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Peg was born Aug. 23, 1940, in Industry, Pa., the daughter of William and Sara McDole DeLong. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
Peg’s husband, Joseph Kiraly, whom she married Nov. 24, 1973, died May 22, 2023. Peg was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Giba; her sister, Delores “Dee” Huff; and her brothers, Bill and John DeLong.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hemphill (Chris Hill) of Santa Fe, New Mexico and their children, daughter Marah McKee (Tim) and their son, Hayden, daughter Victoria Hemphill, son Edan Hemphill, and son Max Hill (Yiyi) and their daughters, Alita and Bellarose; her son, John Giba (Nuria) of Sentmenat, Spain and their daughter, Julia; her son, Tom Giba (MaryAnna) of El Paso, Texas and their daughter, Jennifer and son, Michael (Christina); her brother, Frank DeLong of Phoenix, Arizona; her sister, Linda Tripp of Showlolo, Arizona; her sister-in-law, Barb DeLong; her nephew, Fran Gottron (Joyce); and special friends, Irene Kiraly, Jim Oakes and Dawn Kiraly and her children, Vivian and Lillian.
Peg was a kind and thoughtful person who will be sorely missed. She remained active into her 80s, recently returning from a trip to visit family out West. She loved to read. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Gettin’ Fit Exercise group.
Family and friends may call 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr’s Center, Canfield, OH 44406.
A funeral service will follow at noon Saturday, at the funeral home.
