Of Verona, age 74, passed away in her home surrounded by family on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Loving mother of Robert Ryan Rafalko (Sherri) of Monongahela. Proud grandmother of Megan Rafalko, Alyssa Rafalko, Jennifer Bezy (Alex), Stephanie Casteel (Chris), all of Monongahela. Gam-gam of Ellie & Mack Bezy, and Aleah & Mikaela Casteel. Sister of Mark Rozanski of VA, Paul Rozanski of CA, Teresa Chamberlain of NC, Chester Rozanski (Jeanne) of Philadelphia, Joan Motsco (Tony) of MD. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Margaret was born in Ellwood City on June 26, 1950, the daughter of Chester Rozanski of Wampum and Veronica Somers of Philadelphia. She was a member of New Castle Senior High School class of 1968 and graduated from Robert Morris College and Carlow College with a Master of Science in Professional Leadership. Margaret worked for WQED for many years and then became a family therapist. She created beauty in this world, always surrounding herself with it. She shared what she had with others and lived with passion and a desire to protect the vulnerable. 

Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation for Margaret’s special groups of friends, the “Canoe Girls”, the Tai Chi group, and the garden clubs, for the love and support they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Carlow University, www.carlow.edu, Southern Poverty Law Center, www.splcenter.org, or the Smile Train, www.smiletrain.org
