Margaret Mary Rollberg, Age 84, of Granite City, Illinois, went to Heaven on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, with her daughters by her side.
She was born on December 15, 1940, in Flora, Illinois to Charles and Vanetta Hendricks (nee Ziegler).
Margaret loved cookie days in the winter and apple pie days in the fall. She loved to host 4th of July parties for her family in her back yard where she would have washer tournaments.
She also loved to host Christmas Eve gatherings at her home and having her family be a part of the Christmas celebration.
Margaret enjoyed Mother's Day each year when her family would take her to the nursery to pick out flowers and plants and get her yard ready for the spring.
She loved working White Mountain jigsaw puzzles with her sister-in-law, Mary.
She also enjoyed being a member of the coffee clatch club where she would sit in the driveway with Kurt and Fred and they would solve the world's problems.
She was also an avid bingo player. She loved to participate in Trivia nights and was the spellchecker for her team.
Margaret is survived by children; Scott (Carrie) Wiesehan, Christine (fiancé Rick Mahan) Gaines and Anita (Mike Diuguid) Heath, grandchildren; Nicholas, Andrew, Eric, Kellie, Tyler, great grandchildren; Alexys, Kelsi, Bricen, Stella, Alyvia, Ivie, Aidan and Kalani, sisters; Diane (Rob) Moore, Debbie Ogle, sister-in-law; Vickie Argent and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Owen Rollberg, son; Jay Wiesehan, grandson; Adam Heath, son-in-law; Brian Gaines, brothers; Craig Argent and Greg Argent.
Margaret was an animal lover. If you desire to make a donation in Margaret's memory, please do so to the animal rescue of your choice.
Services will be private.
The family is being served by Sunset Hill Funeral Home of Glen Carbon, Illinois.
