Margaret Titterington Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center on Oct. 3, 2025.
Margaret Ann (Murray) Titterington, 93, of Ostrander, passed away peacefully at the Ohio
Living Sarah Moore Home in Delaware.
She was born on May 8, 1932, in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late John Haskell and
Margaret (Quay) Murray, and one of three sisters. Margaret graduated from Mentor High
School before furthering her education at Flora Stone Mather College, where she earned her
undergraduate degree.
A lifelong educator, Margaret taught in schools across the United States, reaching countless
lives with her knowledge and commitment to learning. After retiring from teaching, she
continued her dedication to service by working with the American Cancer Society, a role she
greatly enjoyed.
Margaret was a devoted member of the Liberty Barn Church in Delaware for more than 30
years. She was also active in the Herb Society of America, the Daughters of the American
Revolution (DAR), and the North American Manx Association, where she cultivated deep
friendships and a strong sense of belonging.
She is survived by her children, Murray (Camilla) Titterington, Peggy (Edward Velazquez)
Titterington, and Maria (Martin) Damp; her granddaughters, Paulina and Eva Titterington; as
well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert J. Titterington, in 2019,
and by her sisters, Martha and Patience.
Margaret enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, sewing, and reading. She is now reunited with the
many amazing dogs over the years who were faithful friends. Margaret, or Mrs. T. to many, will
be remembered for her sharp wit, independent spirit, and the fierce following of friends who
admired her strength, resolve, and formidable presence.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Margaret's memory to the Stephen Ministry of Liberty
Barn Church, 7080 Olentangy River Road, Delaware, OH 43015 / www.libertybarnchurch.com or
to the Herb Society of America, 9019 Kirtland Chardon Road, Kirtland, OH 44094 /
