Margaret Villano
January 1, 1921 — August 25, 2025
(Schenectady, NY) Margaret Villano passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Monday, August 25th at the age of 104. Margaret grew up in Troy NY and moved to Schenectady NY after marriage to Frank Villano. She was the proud owner of a Hair and Beauty Salon on Union St. Niskayuna in the 60’s and later was employed by The NYS Dept.of Labor where she retired after 20 yrs. She loved traveling with her husband Frank and loved being members of The Schenectady Yacht Club for over 30 yrs. As active members of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, they would teach NYS boating safety / license classes in the winter months. They loved spending their vacations boating on the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers.
Margaret loved her 3 children and was loved by many. She was a devoted Christian and loved Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior.
Our family is very grateful for the grace and mercy of God in Mom's peaceful passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Marguerite, Kathy, and Douglas, her grandchildren, Glen, Christine, Billy and Randi. She also has 9 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to the wonderful, caring aides and nurses of Hospice for all the help and care they provided to Mom over the past couple of months.
Service will be held on Sept 11th ( 4-7) and the burial Sept 12th will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice.
