Margaret Ann Wassmer of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Devoted daughter of the late Albert and Jeannine Wassmer; beloved mother of Colleen (Corey) Hunn, Katie (Tony) Unruh, Mark Thomson, Christine (Gerardo) Comas; loving grandmother of Kelsey (Edward II) Morrow, Corey Hunn, Jr., Zachary (Zoie) Thomson, Nunzio Unruh, Harrison Unruh; treasured great-grandmother of Edward Morrow III, Zayden Thomson; dear sister of Patricia (Joe) Emmerich, Donna (Bill) Aye, Terri (Bob) Franklin, and Albert (Kris) Wassmer; host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by her sister, Diane (the late Nick) Rallo.
A woman of many talents and passions, Margaret found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener, often spending hours tending to her flowers and creating beautiful wreaths and arrangements that brought smiles to those around her. Her love of walking kept her active and connected to nature, and she was always eager to lend a hand as a dedicated church volunteer.
Margaret had a knack for cooking, and her roast beef was a family favorite that brought everyone to the table. Professionally, she earned her insurance license and spent 20 years working for SSM, where she was known for her diligence and warmth. Margaret also served her community as a polling volunteer, embodying a spirit of civic duty and care.
Her presence brought comfort, and her legacy will live on in the lives she touched.
