Margaret Weakly Obituary
Margaret was born in Etna Green on March 1, 1928 to John and Mary Agnes (Hatfield) Anglin. Margaret graduated from Bourbon High School in 1946. Following his return from WWII, Margaret marred Calvin Max Weakly on Oct. 6, 1946. They celebrated 77 years together last year. Max preceded her in death in January of 2024.
Margaret was a member of the Bourbon Methodist Church and the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary. She retired from R.R. Donnelley. In retirement she enjoyed following her grandchildren's activities, knitting, working jigsaw puzzles, collecting cardinals, bird watching, gardening, and watching college football and basketball, as well as watching the White Sox and Cubs. Margaret loved sharing homemade peanut brittle, Christmas trays, and garden produce with friends and neighbors.
Margaret is survived by daughters: Diana Graham of Spartanburg, SC and Lee Ann (Ed) Rock of Mentone, IN. Also surviving are five granddaughters, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Daughter, Linda; son-in-law, Gary Fuller; and granddaughter, Tracey Fuller also preceded her in death.
Margaret's siblings: Phyllis Scott; Jane Sharp; Edmund; Bert; and Wayne Anglin, as well as her parents, all preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Matchett Event Center (805 N. Harris St., Bourbon, IN 46504) with Rev. Dr. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating.
Memorial donations in Margaret's name may be given to: Traditions Health Hospice (3555 Park Place W., Suite 100, Mishawaka, IN 46545).
