Margaret Weber

MORTON – Margaret M. Weber, 96, of Morton, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Villas of Holly Brook in Morton.
She was born on March 4, 1929, in Eureka, Illinois, to Theophilus "Theo" and Rose (Belsley) Minger. Margaret married Richard Weber on June 14, 1953, in Eureka. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2016. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Minger and Michael Minger; four sisters, Anna Leman, Ruth Hodel, Ellen Ulrich and Rachel O'Malley; and one niece, Ann Hodel.
Margaret is survived by her children, Amy (Gary) Zander of Pekin, Julie (Ron) Leuelling of Denver, NC and Matthew (Karen) Weber of Weatherford, Texas; four grandchildren, Daniel (Joanna) Leuelling of Charlotte, N.C., Joseph Leuellling of Denver, N.C., Kyndell (Shannon) Zander of Pekin and Kaci Zander of Pekin and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Leuelling, Owen Spika, Scout and Vann Zander.
Margaret graduated from Metamora High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in teaching from Illinois State University.
Margaret had many hobbies such as painting, quilting and she was an excellent cook. She was also an award-winning artist having won first prize at the Morton Pumpkin Festival.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
