Margaret C. White, known affectionately to family and friends as Marge, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at the age of 90, in Mentor, Ohio. Born on October 6, 1935, in Painesville, Ohio, to the late James and Margaret (nee: Bell) Poca. She is survived by her loving children: Carolyn (Steven) Edmonds, Thomas (Karin) White, Gary (Jenn) White, and Brian (Susan) White. Her legacy flourishes through her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who filled her life with joy and pride. She was united in her journey by her devoted husband, Donald J. White, who predeceased her, as did her brother, James Pocza.
Marge's work history started at Puritan Bakery, infusing sweet delight into every baked good she touched. She furthered her entrepreneurial passion by selling Natural Impressions Jewelry, gracing life's moments with beauty and elegance. Her organizational brilliance shone as a secretary for Don Brewster at William R. Gray & Associates and during her time at Parker Hannifin Corporation.
A long-standing member of First Church Congregational, she found strength and serenity in her faith. Marge's skill with icing was well known among those fortunate enough to enjoy her baking and cake decorating artistry. She loved cooking large meals for family gatherings at the house, relishing in the special fellowship time those moments provided. A social butterfly, she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and took great pleasure in helping to found a local chapter, "The Concord Grapes," where laughter and friendship were abundant. Marge enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Guardians and Cavaliers, taking pleasure in the triumphs and commiserating in the defeats with equal passion. As everyone's biggest fan, she loved cheering on her grandchildren and great grandchildren at their events with her unique ear-piercing "Yahoo!" Her love for nature was evident in her serene pastime of watching and feeding her beloved blue birds.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00am at First Church Congregational, 22 Liberty St., Painesville, Ohio 44077. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the service. Interment of ashes will follow in Concord Cemetery.
