I started my career at Henny Penny in January, 1982. Margaret became one of the first people I supervised, although she was totally the boss, in the sweetest way possible. We teased Margaret by telling her she was one of HP's oldest employees and she was - but not because of her chronological age! She was a great role model. We were amazed that she would get up at 5:00 AM to make fried chicken and gravy for Kenny before they went to work. I have fond memories of her many kindnesses, her generosity and hospitality including the ladies' Christmas parties at her home. It's easy to understand how she earned the nickname Mother Margaret. She was an integral part of a sweet era in the history of HP. I was sad to see Margaret retire but was very happy that she and Kenny would be able to spend more time together. Gary and I offer our sincere condolences to her family at this sad time.
